Marie Graham, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Music Education at the University of North Georgia, is a thirty-year veteran in choral music education spanning K-12 through college levels at public and private institutions. She specializes in Kodaly Methodology, International Baccalaureate (MYP) frameworks, and sight-reading pedagogy, with expertise in voice instruction rooted in Oren Brown's vocal ease approach.

Graham’s research centers on peer-assisted learning in sight-reading and arts integration in elementary education. She teaches Elementary General Music Methods, Choral Methods, Music for the Special Learner, and supervises music education interns’ field placements, senior portfolio projects, and Teaching & Learning Assessments. Her work has elevated the Music Education program at UNG to Georgia’s highest level 4 rating for educator preparation.
As a Kodaly specialist, she has conducted large-scale musical productions in North Carolina and served as guest clinician at the Georgia Music Educators Conference (2022) presenting on Appalachian folk music traditions. She has extensive experience directing youth and adult choirs in Boston and Charlotte, and teaching applied voice through her private studio for over nine years.
Her professional development includes studies with Metropolitan Opera Baritone Peter Hart (Longy School of Music), Kodaly Methodology mentors Janos Horvath and Susie Engle, and conducting training with Alex Farkas (Hartt School of Music) and Tibor Szabo (Budapest Academy of Music). She was an intern under Sarah Ferrebee in West Hartford, CT, and participated in Master Schola under Dr. George Guest.
