Marie Flem Sørbø

Marie Flem Sørbø is an Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with her work centered at the Ålesund campus. Her academic focus spans public health, nursing, and digital health services, particularly examining women's health and the impact of abuse on maternal and child outcomes.

She investigates how digital technologies enhance health literacy and explores consequences of violence against women, including effects on breastfeeding practices and postpartum depression through large-scale cohort studies.

Recent publications reveal a dual trajectory: advancing sustainable digital healthcare solutions for health literacy (2020-2024) while continuing longitudinal analysis of abuse in maternal populations using the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study. This work integrates epidemiological methods with health services innovation to address critical gaps in women's health and digital intervention efficacy.
