Marie Davis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre & Dance at Colorado College. She holds an MFA in Set and Costume Design from Yale University (2003). Her work focuses on eco-conscious performance design, impermanence, and spatial constraints, with notable projects such as Loss of Habitat/Loss of Language and Requiem. These works were showcased at prestigious events like the 2015 International Prague Quadrennial and the 2017 World Stage Design exhibition in Taiwan.
Her production credits include designs for Angels in America and Circus Beckett, among others. Currently, she collaborates with environmental and design students on community-driven projects aimed at local environmental renovation, partnering with entrepreneurs and businesses. Her research bridges performance art with ecological awareness, emphasizing sustainability and interdisciplinary dialogue.
Marie’s work has been featured in major international exhibitions, including the 2014 World Stage Design in Cardiff and the USITT 50th Anniversary exhibition. She actively presents at venues such as the National Taiwan University and the Veletržní National Gallery.
