Marie-Christine Rousset is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Grenoble Alpes and a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. She conducts her research at the Laboratoire Informatique de Grenoble (LIG) within the SLIDE group.
Research Interests: Her work focuses on Knowledge Representation, Information Integration, Pattern Mining, and the Semantic Web. She explores how symbolic AI approaches, such as logic-based reasoning and ontologies, can address challenges in modern data-centric applications involving scalability, multi-source data, and data quality.
Scientific Recognition:
- Best Paper Award from AAAI (1996)
- EurAI Fellow (2005)
Academic Contributions: She has authored over 100 refereed international journal and conference papers, contributed to industry-university projects, and served on program committees and editorial boards of leading journals.
