Marie Achille

Marie Achille is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université de Montréal, and serves as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Her academic leadership roles include heading the SAFIRE interdisciplinary training service (2017–2020) and directing the Language Centre. She is a key member of Transplant Québec's ethics committee, representing the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.

Research Focus: Her work centers on psychological, social, and ethical aspects of organ donation and transplantation, with collaborations at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM). Key areas include donor-recipient dynamics, transplant recipients' psychosocial adaptation, and end-of-life care bereavement experiences.

Grants & Projects: Notable funding includes an Institute of Work Research (IRSST) grant (2018–2023) on work injury perceptions, and a CIHR project (2020–2021) analyzing ethical issues in living kidney donation.
