Marianne Zeyringer is an Associate Professor in Renewable Energy Systems at the Department of Technology Systems (ITS), University of Oslo. She leads the Energy Systems Modelling Group and co-leads the SPATUS Thematic Research Group. Her research focuses on designing net-zero energy systems with high shares of renewables, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches integrating social sciences and climate science. She coordinates the UiO:Energy Convergence Environment EMPOWER and leads initiatives like the dScience Community Forum.
Previously, she held roles at UCL Energy Institute, the European Commission Joint Research Centre, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She teaches Energy Markets and Regulation and supervises multiple PhD students exploring topics like hydrogen storage, social factors in energy models, and climate risk.
