Dr. Marianella Collette is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. She holds a PhD and MA from the University of Toronto and a BA from York University. Her research focuses on Latin American literature and culture through a feminist lens, particularly examining how women writers challenge patriarchal norms and reshape narrative traditions.
Dr. Collette has authored two books analyzing Argentinean women writers: one exploring their contributions to Latin American literature from a gendered perspective, and another investigating the impact of exiled writers on struggles for social justice. Her current work examines feminist reinterpretations of traditional fairy tales in South America. She is affiliated with the Yeates School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and can be reached at collette@torontomu.ca.
