Maria Wamsley

Maria Wamsley, MD, is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. She holds a leadership role as the Director of the UCSF Program for Interprofessional Practice and Education and co-director of the PISCES Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship. Her work is dedicated to advancing medical education through interprofessional collaboration and innovative curriculum design.

Dr. Wamsley’s research is centered on the teaching and assessment of interprofessional collaboration skills, the development and impact of longitudinal integrated clerkships on students’ professional identity formation, and the enhancement of faculty development programs. Her scholarship demonstrates a consistent focus on improving the educational experience for learners across health professions, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and dentistry.
