Maria Trumpler is a Senior Lecturer in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University. She holds a PhD in History of Medicine and Life Science from Yale (1992) and teaches courses on 'Women, Food and Culture' and 'History of Sexuality'. Her research critically examines the intersections of gender, science, and sexuality. She also serves as Director of Yale’s Office of LGBTQ Resources.
Her scholarly work includes feminist critiques of scientific methodologies and cultural analyses of food systems. Dr. Trumpler has taught at Yale, Middlebury, and Harvard, bringing interdisciplinary perspectives to her pedagogy.
