Maria Tamboukou is Professor of Sociology at the University of East London's School of Education and Communities, where she coordinates research in the Centre for Narrative Research. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham.
Her innovative research develops feminist approaches to narrative methodologies, examining women's lives through archival materials including correspondence, memoirs, and autobiographical fragments.
