Rute Ferreira André is a Full Professor at the University of Aveiro’s Physics Department and an Invited Assistant Professor (30% part-time) with CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials. Her affiliations include leading roles in multiple EU-funded projects and international collaborations.

- 2002: Ph.D. in Physics (Lanthanide-Modified Materials)
- 1997: Physical Engineering Degree
Research Focus: Optoelectronic materials, sol-gel-derived hybrids, lanthanide-doped nanoparticles, and luminescent solar concentrators. She specializes in synthesizing and characterizing functional materials for photonics, photovoltaics, and sensing applications. Recent work includes QR code integration for IoT and sustainable energy systems.
