Maria Mouratidou

Maria Mouratidou is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Cumbria, where she has taught since 2016. Her academic journey began with a PhD focused on HRM and career development, driven by a passion to improve workplace conditions and foster happier work environments. Prior to academia, she held diverse roles in public sector HR, offering insights into organisational dynamics and employee challenges.

Her research explores career sustainability, pandemic-era workplace adaptations, student well-being in higher education, and the impact of industrial placements on professional skill development. Collaborations include examining HRM practices in public sector career development and fostering entrepreneurial spirit among students.
