Maria Morrison

Maria Morrison is a Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at McGill University. She holds an AB from Princeton University and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, where her doctoral work focused on violence in fairy tales. Prior to McGill, she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of William and Mary and worked as a Lektorin in the English Department at the University of Bonn. She has also taught for 12 years at the German summer school at Middlebury in Vermont.

Her research interests span folk and fairy tales, picture books, Romanticism, and early 20th-century German literature and film.
