Maria Moloney

Dr. Maria Moloney is affiliated with the School of Computer Science at University College Dublin (UCD) and collaborates with Georgia State University's Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology as a Fulbright TechImpact Scholar. Her research focuses on cybersecurity, informational privacy, and security-by-design frameworks, particularly in the context of cybercrime and online criminal behavior.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin (2014), supported by a Government of Ireland Research Scholarship under the Embark Initiative.

Research Interests: Maria's work bridges cybersecurity and criminology, emphasizing digital criminology, darknet intelligence, and human factors in cybercrime.
