Maria Mendez Ruiz

Maria Mendez Ruiz is a Predoctoral Researcher at the University of Murcia, Spain, affiliated with the Department of English Philology in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She is an active member of the La_L2 research group, which specializes in applied linguistics and second language learning within educational text frameworks.

Her research centers on applied linguistics with specific emphasis on second language acquisition processes, educational text analysis, and classroom-based language pedagogy. She investigates how instructional materials influence linguistic development and examines discourse patterns in multilingual educational settings, contributing to evidence-based language teaching methodologies.

Funded by the competitive FPI-MINECO predoctoral fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, her doctoral research is conducted under the auspices of the La_L2 group.
