Maria Jenmalm

Maria Jenmalm is a Professor of Experimental Allergology at Linköping University's Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences. She holds affiliations with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Division of Inflammation and Infection, and the Medical Inflammation and Infection Center (MIIC). Her research focuses on childhood allergy development, immune maturation, and the role of gut microbiota in disease prevention. Key interests include the impact of maternal immunity, pregnancy conditions, and microbial exposure on allergy outcomes. Recent grants include SEK 30 million from the Swedish Heart Lung Foundation for allergy-related studies.
