Maria Greve

Maria Greve is a researcher at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, affiliated with the School of Economics and Business Administration. Her current work focuses on modernization blockades in the economy and science of the DDR (East Germany), analyzed through comparative studies with West Germany and neighboring Eastern European countries.

Her research interests span Economic History, Science Policy, and Comparative Economic Systems, with a particular emphasis on historical institutional analysis of state-socialist economies.

Maria Greve contributes to the BMBF-funded project Mod-Block-DDR, which examines structural barriers to modernization in East German industry and academia.
