Dr. Kalpidou's research focuses on fostering the well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults through investigations into infant imitation, attachment, sensory processing, and imaginary companions. She examines how childhood adversity, social media, and character strengths impact developmental outcomes, aiming to create evidence-based parenting strategies for raising resilient youth.
She teaches undergraduate courses including Infancy and Childhood, Raising Happy and Successful Children, and Common Problems in Childhood, along with a graduate-level Developmental Psychology course.
