Maria Candida Ghidini

Associate Professor Maria Candida Ghidini teaches Russian Literature at the University of Parma's Department of Humanistic, Social, and Cultural Industries. She has held this position since 2007 and has served in administrative roles including President of the Degree Course in Modern Civilization and Foreign Languages (2014–2016) and coordinator of the University Evaluation Board (since 2019).

Her scholarly work examines intersections between language, identity, and cultural transfer between Russia and Europe. She has participated in numerous international congresses and contributed to literary encyclopedias like Garzantina Letteraria.

Recent publications analyze Dostoevsky's treatment of tyranny, psychological themes in Italian psychiatry, and Dante's influence on Russian symbolism. These works span literature, philosophy, and visual culture.

She maintains an active teaching role across both first and second cycle degrees in Language Sciences and Cultural Studies, with regular office hours at the San Michele campus.
