Maria Bergström is an Associate Professor in European Law at the Faculty of Law, Uppsala University. She received her PhD in 2003 from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. Her research focuses on EU criminal law, constitutional law, administrative law, procedural law, and the interplay between national law and EU law, with particular emphasis on anti-money laundering, mutual legal assistance, and the rule of law in digital contexts.
