Maria Armandi

Maria Armandi, OD, is an Assistant Professor at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) within Drexel University. She also serves as Coordinator of the Professional Practice Learning Support Program. Her clinical specialty focuses on Primary Care Optometry. Dr. Armandi completed a Primary Care Residency at The Eye Institute following her OD degree from PCO and holds a BS from Villanova University.

Her professional activities include active involvement in optometric organizations: member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA), and ASCO Clinical Affairs Committee. She co-chaired the Ophthalmic Optics Educators Special Interest Group (2020-2022) and serves as an ACOE Site Accreditation Consultant. She was also an AOA Leadership Institute Candidate in 2022.

Her work emphasizes clinical education, professional practice development, and accreditation standards within optometry and healthcare education.
