About
Margi Bryant is a Lecturer at the School of Geography and Planning, University of Sheffield, specializing in practice-related aspects of the International Development Masters programmes. She has worked with the Department of Geography since 2014, following a career in the NGO and consultancy sectors focused on international environment-development issues.
Her research interests include community-based governance of wildlife, landscapes, and natural resources across global North and South contexts; environmental volunteering; cultural ecosystem services; and the intersection of political ecology with development studies. Current projects explore local engagement with the River Derwent in the Peak District and community activism in the River Don corridor regeneration in Sheffield.
