Margarida Mano

Margarida Mano is an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, with a focus on economics and management. She has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) since 1986, teaching courses such as Strategic Management, Institutional Assessment, Quality Management, and Economic Policy.

She earned a PhD in Management from the University of Southampton (UK) and holds Master’s and Bachelor's degrees in Economics from FEUC. Her research interests include innovation, strategy, scenario planning, higher education management, governance, and foresight.

As a researcher at CeBER (Center for Business and Economics Research), she has participated in various research and knowledge transfer projects. She has also held significant administrative roles, including Vice-Rector of the University of Coimbra (2011-2015) and currently as Vice-Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Her publications span international peer-reviewed journals like Revista de Administração Pública, Perspectives: Policy and Practice in Higher Education, and Journal of US-China Public Administration. She has also contributed to books and research projects.
