About
Margarida Costa Gomes is a Research Professor at CNRS, conducting her scientific projects at the Laboratoire de Chimie ENSLyon (LCH UMR 5182). She specializes in theoretical chemistry and thermodynamics, focusing on physical chemistry and molecular thermodynamics of fluids and solutions containing ionic species. Her work aims to advance greener and more sustainable chemical processes.
Since 2018, she co-leads the Ionic Liquids group with Prof. Agilio Padua, studying thermodynamic, thermophysical, and phase equilibrium properties of solutions. Her methodologies combine experimental and theoretical approaches to link macroscopic properties with molecular interactions and microscopic structures.
