Margaret E. I. Kipp is an Associate Professor in the School of Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She holds a PhD and MLIS from the University of Western Ontario, and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on social tagging, metadata, semantic web technologies, and information organization systems.

Dr. Kipp is affiliated with the Information Organization Research Group and teaches courses in information organization, metadata, and database management.
