Margaret Halbig

Pianist Margaret Halbig is a Senior Lecturer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), serving as Principal Vocal Coach and collaborating with faculty and student instrumentalists. She coordinates collaborative piano at Interlochen Arts Camp and performs with ensembles Ninth Planet and Ensemble For These Times, focusing on contemporary music.

Margaret's research and professional focus spans collaborative piano, new music advocacy, and 20th/21st-century chamber ensemble performance. She has been active in vocal and instrumental accompaniment since 2014, notably with the Young Women’s Chorus of San Francisco.
