Marelize Joubert

Marelize Joubert is the Deputy Head of School for the School of Health and Social Care at Sheffield Hallam University, part of the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. She holds a Professional Doctorate (Pof Doc), MBA, MSW, and multiple other qualifications. Her expertise spans social work education, organizational management, dual diagnosis, and decolonizing curricula. She has led courses like the Masters in Social Work and BSc Nursing (Learning Disability), with teaching modules on interprofessional education and substance misuse.

Research interests include student resilience, organizational change, and community-based alcohol studies. Notable projects include the 'Communities and Sense of Belonging' initiative and CPD-focused work with the University of Sheffield. She is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and collaborates with NHS trusts and international institutions.
