Prof. Marcus W. Feldman is the Burnet C. and Mildred Finley Wohlford Professor of Biological Sciences at Stanford University and Director of the Morrison Institute for Population and Resource Studies. A mathematical biologist, he develops models to study evolution, learning, and human population genetics.
Research spans cultural niche construction, gene-culture coevolution, and demographic patterns in modern humans, including gender ratio imbalances in China. His group applies computational methods to genomic data and social transmission dynamics.
