Marcus Hughes, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in interventional psychiatry with a focus on novel pharmacological interventions for mood and substance use disorders. Dr. Hughes completed his MD at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (2018) and served as Chief Resident in Interventional Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine (2024). His research emphasizes psychedelic therapies and health equity in clinical trials, particularly ethnoracial inclusion. He has been recognized with the 2022 Sheldon Miller Early Career Award from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
