Marco Villani

Marco Villani is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physical, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He teaches courses including Artificial Intelligence, Complex Systems, and General Computer Science for both Computer Science and Mathematics degree programs.

Research Interests focus on bio-inspired algorithms, multi-agent systems, neural networks, computational modeling, and complexity science. His work explores self-organization, emergent behavior, and applications of AI to real-world problems.

Teaching Methods include lectures, laboratory exercises, and optional projects, with an emphasis on practical implementation via Python programming and simulation tools. Courses are delivered in Italian and English, with materials hosted on Moodle platforms.
