About
Marco TARZIA is a Professor at Sorbonne University's Laboratory of Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics (LPTMC). He holds a PhD from the University of Naples (2005) and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Manchester, Université Paris Sud, and CEA/Saclay. He became an Associate Professor at Université Pierre et Marie Curie (now part of Sorbonne University) in 2008 and obtained his Habilitation to Supervise Research in 2017.
His research focuses on statistical physics of complex systems, including disordered systems, glass transition, Anderson localization, random matrices, and frustrated magnetism. He also explores applications in soft matter, granular materials, and agent-based economic models. His work bridges theoretical physics with interdisciplinary problems in materials science and socio-economic systems.
Laboratory affiliation: LPTMC located at Jussieu Campus, 4 Place Jussieu, Paris.
