Marco Palmieri

Marco Palmieri is a Visiting Critic in the Department of Art at Cornell University's Rome program. Based in Rome, he is an artist and curator whose work explores historical androgyny, classical heritage, and interdisciplinary practices across painting, wallpaper, ceramics, and tailored clothing.

• Co-founder of curatorial collective Garbo's
• Former Visual Art Residency & Program Curator at British School at Rome

His research and artistic practice interrogates the coexistence of multiple eras within artworks, as seen in solo exhibitions like Orlando (2015) inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel.
