Marco Frey

Marco Frey is a Full Professor of Economics and Business Management at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, serving as Vice Rector for the Third Mission and Technology Transfer. He coordinates the Sustainability Laboratory (SuM) and directs the Master in Management and Control of the Environment: Circular Economy and Efficient Resource Management (GECA). Additionally, he lectures at IUSS Pavia, Catholic University of Milan, and Luiss in Rome (as a Senior Fellow).

• Leadership Roles: President of the Global Compact Network Italy (UN), President of Symbola Foundation's Scientific Committee, Member of Italian Touring Club’s Executive Committee, Member of CDP Foundation’s Scientific Committee, and Vice-President of the Minoprio Foundation.

Research focuses on environmental management, renewable energy economics, corporate social responsibility, job security, and healthcare economics. Key areas include interdisciplinary sustainability approaches, circular economy models, and the intersection of technology transfer with public policy.

Publications emphasize sustainability frameworks, stakeholder communication in environmental governance, and case studies on social and environmental impact. His work bridges academic research with practical applications in public and private sectors.
