Marcin Rokita

Rev. Dr. Marcin Rokita is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pastoral Theology at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. His research focuses on historical and statistical analyses of Catholic lay associations in rural communities.

His 2022 publication in Kielce Theological Studies examines lay Catholic movements in the Kielce Diocese post-World War II, highlighting the role of organizations like the Rosary Brotherhood and Eucharistic Crusade in countering secularization. Key research areas include pastoral theology, church history, and rural religious sociology.

The study analyzed handwritten archival sources and printed clergy records from 1945–1949, documenting the growth of Marian Sodalities and other associations during a period of religious reconstruction in Poland.
