Professor Marcin Jacoby is a Sinologist, translator, and literary scholar at SWPS University, where he serves as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities in Warsaw, Head of the Department of Asian Studies, and Head of the East Asian Civilization Research Center. His expertise spans classical Chinese literature, ancient Chinese culture, and socio-political dynamics of East Asia, particularly China and South Korea.
He has authored the scientific monograph The Art of Persuasion in Ancient China (2018) and popular science works such as China Without Makeup (2016, 2021) and South Korea. Republic of the Elements (2018). He co-authored the textbook Contemporary Chinese: I Speak and Write in Chinese (2008).
