Marcia Rego is an Associate Professor of the Practice in the Thompson Writing Program at Duke University, serving as Director of Faculty Development and Assessment. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego (2001). Her research focuses on cultural anthropology, ethnography, and performance studies, with a specialization in Cape Verdean history, language, and identity. She teaches courses on writing, cultural anthropology, and interdisciplinary topics like 'Writing about Performance' and 'Anthropology of the Body.' Her work bridges academic writing practices and critical ethnographic inquiry.
