Professor Marcia Pally is a leading academic at New York University and an annual guest professor at the Theology Department of Humboldt University-Berlin. She is a permanent Fellow at the New York Institute for the Humanities and has held visiting fellowships at the Center for Theological Inquiry (Princeton) and Berlin Institute for Public Theology.
Her research spans theologies of relationality, covenantal economics, and Leonard Cohen’s theological interpretations. Her work interrogates the interplay of religion, politics, and culture, particularly in contexts like white evangelical populism and secular-secular and religious-religious ethics.
Her recent articles address theodicy in Leonard Cohen’s work and evolutionary biology’s philosophical implications. She has received recognition such as UN distribution selection and DFG grants.
