Marcelle Haddix is the Karen A. Falk Distinguished Chair of Education and Dean of the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, effective August 2024. She holds a PhD in Education from Boston College (2008), an MS in Adult Education from Cardinal Stritch University (1998), and a BS in Secondary Education from Drake University (1996).
Her research focuses on literacy, teacher education, and the experiences of students and teachers of color. Her award-winning book, Cultivating Racial and Linguistic Diversity in Literacy Teacher Education, emphasizes diversity and equity in educational practices.
