About
Marcella Milana-Dep is an Associate Professor of General and Social Education at the Department of Human Sciences, University of Verona. Since 2019, she holds an honorary position as Professor of Adult Education at the University of Nottingham's School of Education (UK). Her research focuses on education policies and governance at local, national, and global levels, emphasizing comparative perspectives and interdisciplinary collaboration with sociologists and political scientists. She advocates for qualitative research methods to address societal inclusion and citizenship.
Marcella is actively involved in academic leadership roles, serving as Chair of the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA), co-convenor of ESREA’s Policy Studies Network, and a member of Network 23 (Policy Studies and Politics of Education) under EERA. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Lifelong Education and editor of the Studies in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning book series.
