Marcela Aliste

Marcela Aliste is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Informatics at Arizona State University's College of Health Solutions. She also serves as Program Director for the MAS Health Informatics program and an Adjunct Faculty member at Phoenix College's Chemistry department since 2012.

Her research spans computational modeling of membranes/membrane proteins and health informatics, with teaching experience since 2014 in courses like Health Informatics, Biostatistics, and Database Management in Healthcare. She has held academic roles at Universidad Nacional Andres Bello (Chile), Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Calgary.

Marcela's expertise areas include biophysics, health outcomes analysis, data analysis, health informatics, and population health. She has taught over 20 different courses across multiple semesters, including capstone projects and bioethical issues in applied biomedicine.
