Marcel Tröger

Marcel Tröger is a Landscape Architect and Urban Designer currently serving as a Research and Teaching Associate at HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU) since September 2022. He collaborates with Prof. Antje Stokman’s Chair and pursues a PhD on “Principles for a Baukunst of the Anthropocene.”

His research integrates landscape, ecology, and urban design, focusing on transscalar, interdisciplinary projects addressing Anthropocene challenges. Key themes include reimagining water-land relationships, post-industrial landscapes, and future-oriented spatial systems.

Marcel founded studio erde, an agency dedicated to Anthropocene landscapes, and has taught design studios at TU Berlin and BTU Cottbus since 2019. His work spans multidimensional strategies in internationally acclaimed offices like Vogt Landscape and bgmr Landschaftsarchitekten.
