Marcel Hartwig is a Lecturer at the University of Siegen, Faculty I, Department of English Literature and Cultural Studies. His teaching and research focus on American literature, gender studies, trauma studies, postmodernism, and transatlantic cultural exchanges. He has organized numerous academic conferences, including "Canonizing David Lynch: Audiovisual Aesthetics and Shocking Standards" (2019) and "The Circulation of Folk Knowledge in the Transatlantic World in the 18th Century" (2019), and oversees student advising for international study requirements.
