Marca Lam

Marca Lam is a Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Kate Gleason College of Engineering, Rochester Institute of Technology. She holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has been recognized for her mentorship and teaching excellence.

Advising and Service

Dr. Lam serves as the faculty advisor for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and is an executive board member for WE@RIT. Her dedication to student mentorship was highlighted in a 2025 news feature about her dual role as teacher and mentor leading to a prestigious international award. She has coordinated SAE Baja Racing events and organized overnight programs for engineering students.
