Marc Tremblay

Marc Tremblay is a Part-time Professor at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. He holds a BA in Sociology and Law from Carleton University, an L.LB. from the University of Ottawa's French common law program, and an L.LM. from Cambridge University. A Franco-Ontarian lawyer/jurist, he specializes in constitutional and language rights, as well as the rights of Indigenous peoples.

Marc led significant public policy initiatives and complex legislative/litigation files during a 25+ year career in the federal public service, retiring in April 2024. He provided legal advice to governments on linguistic and cultural diversity, testified before Parliamentary committees, and lectured at Canadian and international law faculties. His career highlights include expert appearances at national/international conferences and publications in his field.
