Marc Robertson

Marc Robertson is an Associate Professor and Director of the Health Science (BHSc) Program within the Health & Movement Sciences school at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). He holds advanced degrees in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy, with prior experience in private practice and adjunct teaching. His current research focuses on dynamic balance mechanisms and fall prevention strategies across the lifespan.

Research interests include balance assessment, ambulation mechanics, and geriatric exercise prescription. His work explores biomechanical changes in aging populations and develops clinical tools for evaluating dynamic walking balance.

Recent publications analyze muscular strength assessment, insole technology, and age-related mobility patterns. He has presented at major symposia including the American College of Sports Medicine and Connecticut Athletic Trainers' Association conferences.

Active in curriculum development, he co-designed a digital portfolio capstone assignment and enhanced medical documentation training through internal university grants. His work bridges clinical practice and academic research in exercise science.
