Marc R. Reinganum

Marc R. Reinganum is a Visiting Professor of Finance at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, a position he has held since September 2018. He has previously held academic appointments at Southern Methodist University (SMU), the University of Iowa, the University of Southern California, and the University of Chicago, and has mentored graduate students at MIT.

His academic background includes a PhD and MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and an AB with High Honors in Economics from Oberlin College.

Professor Reinganum is a leading expert in quantitative equity investing, portfolio management, and factor-based strategies. His research helped pioneer the 'Small Firm Effect' and laid the foundation for modern smart beta and dynamic factor investing. He is actively involved in academic and professional governance, serving on the Advisory Board of the Jacobs Levy Equity Management Center at Wharton, the Board of Trustees of Emerson College, and the Founders Council of ArtsEmerson.
