Marc Chamberland is a Professor and the Department Chair of Mathematics and Statistics at Grinnell College. He holds the endowed Myra Steele Professorship in Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
He received his B.M., M.M., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Waterloo.
His research spans differential equations, number theory, classical analysis, experimental mathematics, discrete dynamics, and combinatorics. Specific interests include the 3x+1 problem, Ducci sequences, the Jacobian Conjecture, and combinatorial identities.
With NSF grant support, he has developed materials to integrate computer discovery into mathematics education.
