About
Marc Bouchkov is a Belgian violinist of Russian-Ukrainian heritage appointed as Professor of Violin at Folkwang University of the Arts effective April 1, 2025. - Conservatoire de Lyon with Claire Bernard
- Paris Conservatory with Boris Garlitsky
- Kronberg Academy with Mihaela Martin

Bouchkov's artistic identity centers on bridging historical performance traditions with contemporary expressiveness. This approach manifests in both his acclaimed recordings and international concert engagements.
His distinguished recognition includes:
- Diapason d'Or for debut album featuring Ysaÿe works
- Top honors at Montreal International Musical Competition
- Silver Medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition
Prior to his Folkwang appointment, Bouchkov maintained a dual career as performer and educator, teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Liège since 2017 while sustaining an active international performance schedule with major orchestras and collaborative projects.
