Prof. Marc Bühlmann is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Année Politique Suisse at the University of Bern. His research focuses on democracy theory, direct democracy mechanisms, political participation, and Swiss political dynamics. He holds a habilitation from the University of Bern (2013) and has led projects like the Democracy Barometer (NCCR Democracy). He teaches at universities in Bern and Zurich and has been affiliated with the Center for Democracy in Aarau since 2008.
