Mara Genschel is an assistant professor at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, specializing in Literary Writing / Literature and Media. As a writer and performer, she challenges traditional textual boundaries through performativity, manual interventions, and installative publication concepts like her limited-edition Reference Surface (2012–2016). Her work spans experimental literature, radio plays, and interdisciplinary collaborations, with recent projects including the 2024 Hildesheim Poetry Lecture reimagined as participatory performance.
